A number of members have reported receiving emails purporting to be from Llandow Kart Club, encouraging you to click a link to an invoice as you may owe money to the club.

Please rest assured that this is spam and can be deleted.

Local photographer and ex Llandow-ite Ryan Waters was present at the Celtic Challenge to take some pictures of the event. You can see his work here. Why not pop over and give him a like? 🙂

Following lengthy discussions at Committee level on Friday night, it has been confirmed that Llandow Kart Club will not be in a financial position to run any more meetings and will therefore be on hiatus for the forseeable future .

That being said, should financial factors change, the Committee will look to restart MSA racing as and when it is financially prudent to do so.

Due to the factors above, the Committee unanimously agreed that those individuals applying for membership at the start of the year should have the choice of 3 options.

1. Retain membership of Llandow Kart Club as a necessity for racing at other circuits.

2. Receive a full refund of their membership fee.

3. Jim Bee at Dunkeswell Kart Racing Club has offered to “take on” the membership of those wishing to switch their memberships to Dunkeswell, meaning that drivers would pay members fees for that circuit for the remainder of the season. Many thanks to him for this kind offer.

An email will be following shortly to those who have applied for membership where we’ll be looking for your individual choices.

N.B. Please note that this post only refers to Llandow Kart Club. IKR and South Wales Karting Centre remain unaffected.

The dust has settled on a successful Celtic Challenge, and the Llandow Kart Club committee will be sitting down in the next few days to identify what happens from here. If you want any queries or concerns raised, or have any suggestions for the Club, then please feel free to send us a PM on Facebook/Twitter, or raise them through the contact page on

Good evening. Following Llandow Kart Club’s committee meeting tonight, the committee has established that due to the continued low number of entries, the Club is no longer in a significantly comfortable financial state to run MSA meetings in 2017. To that end, it is highly likely that the Celtic Challenge on the 19th March will be the final meeting held by Llandow Kart Club. We would encourage all members and drivers to enter this meeting to make sure that Llandow Kart Club’s final meeting is a good one.

The Club would like to thank all those drivers and families who have supported the Club over the years.

For further information regarding this issue, please feel free to drop us a message via the contact pages on

The club will be adopting the Alpha Timing system for the 2017 season, facilitating live timing from the club house, online entry and up to date entry lists for each class. Longer term plans, the Club are also looking at providing Wi-Fi more widely at the circuit, as well as other subtle improvements to improve your weekend’s racing. Some positive Superone feedback!

The feedback received from the Organising Committee and drivers about the circuit and the running of the race programme have been really positive. The round clearly demonstrated Llandow’s ability to hold elite UK calendar events.

A Super One source said “All the Llandow staff did an excellent job and were very welcoming, the improvements you made worked well and the drivers liked the circuit. A great job from everyone involved”

This is really positive feedback. The Llandow committee would once again like to thank all circuit staff and club volunteers for their efforts. You should be rightly proud of the success.

Marshall Safety Clothing

Llandow Kart Club obtained some funding from the ABkC for new Marshall safety clothing and for trolleys to carry their flags, fire extinguishers etc. The new gear was first used at the November meeting and as you can see is very effective and smart. Thanks to Sheila for organizing the marshalls and to John Taylor for sorcing the jackets and manufacturing the trolleys – all helps to make us safer and raise our profile.
